The Best Comfort Show Ever
New Girl
For as long as I can remember, New Girl has been my show. The show that I watch when I am sad, the show that I watch when I need to laugh, distract myself, or even the show that I turn on when I have other things to watch. It is very comforting to watch this show over and over again, it feels like I know the characters and everything about them. I can relate to some of them, laugh uncontrollably at some of them, and get teary eyed by most of them. It truly is the definition of my comfort show.
New Girl is not some crazy thrilling show like most of the shows I have reviewed, it is actually a sitcom. It is about four roommates who live together in a Los Angeles apartment. They do very random and stupid things together, they bicker, they cry, they laugh, but in the end, they are all just a bunch of best friends in their twenties who are trying to figure life out. I would say who my favorite character is, but I genuinely cannot decide between any of the four roommates. They all played their parts so well and I love each character so much.
I really enjoy the overall setup of the episodes and the show. There are plot lines to an extent, but me and Avery could sit down and watch one episode of this show and enjoy it without needing any more context on what's going on. They are still connected enough to the point where if we wanted to watch five in a row, it wouldn't seem like they are all super different. I like the way they include short plot lines that only last a couple episodes because it keeps my attention span focused.
I think you guys already know that this is definitely rewatch approved. I already have rewatched it a million times, and I will probably be making that a million more. I love watching it over and over, this one never gets old.
I love it, but I cannot put it on the same level as my higher ratings, sadly. Still, I would give it a 7.5/10.
