"The Spin-Off Can't Be That Goo-... OH."

 Better Call Saul

Did I think that the Breaking Bad spin-off could even measure up to the original? Not one bit. But did it? I fear it definitely did. Better Call Saul was so good that in my eyes it is not a spin-off, but instead just an excellent show on its own. Saul was a great character and one of my favorites in Breaking Bad, but getting to see deeper into his past and what his true story was, made me love his character even more than ever before.

Better Call Saul is a spin-off show based on a very popular funny side character from Breaking Bad. His name is Saul Goodman, which we soon learn that his real name is in fact Jimmy McGill. Saul had many problems of his own, similar to Walter White's issues, just different circumstances. We got to see parts of his romantic life and all the different sides to him that we had not seen before.

My favorite character was by far Nacho Varga. His character was written very well, and Michael Mondo did a fantastic job at performing this role. He was someone that we liked and felt bad for, and it seemed like he always had good intensions. There were also many characters from Breaking Bad that were featured in Better Call Saul, for example, Mike, Gus, Hector, and even short appearances from Walter and Jesse.

When it comes to negatives, I am coming up short. I could maybe say that some parts I was slightly bored, but that was never much of an issue. The show was very well filmed and produced, all of the actors did a fantastic job, and it was honestly just so nice to have another show to watch from the Breaking Bad world.

Truly a masterpiece, I can't imagine giving it a lower score than this so here you go- 9.5/10.
