This Show Will Take Over Your Life

 Love Island USA

    I always say that I am never going to get sucked into reality TV, then what do I do?... get sucked into reality TV. I must say that Love Island USA may just be the best reality TV show I have ever watched. If you guys could see the way that me and Avery had our eyes GLUED to the TV literally on the edge of our beds every time there was a recoupling... then you would totally get it. 

    This show is basically all about finding a partner and hopefully love. It starts off with equal numbers of boy and girl "islanders". They get to choose who they would like to couple up with. The person that you are coupled up with is the person you do challenges with, share a bed with, etc. There are a lot of messy things like recouplings, people getting dumped from the island, and of course, drama. The main part that really hooked in me and Avery is the fact that the episodes are being released daily and almost in real time, only three days later than when they were filmed. It made it so we looked forward to watching an episode every single day after practice, and it gave us something to look forward to. 

    There are obviously some negatives to this show. It can be a bit weird and cringy at times, some of the drama is flat out annoying and some of the challenges are just disturbing. It is obviously a fun guilty pleasure for girl time, but it is not the most respectable show in my opinion. The people who go on it quite literally get harassed for years after being on it. Does not sound fun. 

    Rewatching is never something that I have considered for Love Island. It really is not the type of show to rewatch considering the fact that there are a crazy number of episodes in each season. It would take forever and most likely be pretty boring.

    It's a fun show, but just not good enough. 5/10.
